Island Praise Statement Of Faith
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8

We believe in the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the redemption from our sins by His shed blood on Calvary. We believe in Christ risen from the dead, alive, and seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe in the power and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Empowering us to tear down strongholds, break chains of bondage, set captives free, and restore broken and wounded lives. This is by far our most treasured statement of faith.

We surrender ourselves to His will, to allow the Holy Spirit to move freely through us. We come forth as servants of our risen King, bringing the good news to everyone, everywhere. We minister unto our Lord through Island Praise as an outward expression of worship and praise. Island Praise Hula Ministry stands on His word (Psalm 150). We believe that through Island Praise worship we can reach the unsaved for Jesus and be an encouragement for other believers.

Island Praise Hula Ministry has been charged with the duty to carry on the Word of God through the beauty of hula - the unwritten language of Hawai'i. The mainstay of what was, what will be and what shall become. Our ministry is built upon people from all walks of life, cultures and ethnic backgrounds. The common thread in this quilt of Christianity is our love for hula and our dedication to the Lord Jesus Christ. Island Praise Hula Ministry was brought forth in 1997 at Templo De La Cruz. It started as a very modest expression of worship unto God, and as our ministry grew we witnessed the very power of God moving in the hearts and lives of many. Slowly, Island Praise began to incorporate more movements and steps into our hulas and adopted the Hawaiian kahiko and Tahitian aparima style into our choreography.

Island Praise Hula Ministry successfully, by God's grace continues to persevere in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to people of all ages, races, denominations, believers and unbelievers alike, by using Christian based hula. We believe when you take the best you have to offer and give it to the Lord, He redeems your gift and turns it into something wonderful. We have been very blessed in our ministry and continue growing together as we worship the Lord, serve the Lord and reach out to the world with this life transforming truth.
